Slightly too smart

This smart light 'SLIGHT' is so smart it actually realizes that it is pointless and physically switches itself off when turned on, saving you up to 100% of your power expenses.

The switch is located at the front of the lamp and positioned in such a way that the metal rod can rotate and deactivate it. After the prototype was built together, I received assistance from a coding expert and we figured out how to control the motor and LED to reach the desired form of user-interaction. The idea was when SLIGHT is switched on by a person, first the LED lights up and after a few seconds the motor quickly turns

the lamp, pressing down the switch which deactivates the LED and then returns to its original position. For the presentation I decided to clearly display all the technical elements of the prototype to show the knowledge and experience I was able to gain during this course and make it easier to communicate the details to interested viewers.
